Dhoom 2 is the second installment in the Dhoom series where ASP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) and Ali (Uday Chopra) are yet again on a mission to crack down on another big-time thief by the name of Aryan (Hrithik Roshan) who time and again challenges the law and escapes diligently with his partner in crime Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai). Aryan makes the cop-duo chase from place to place until he lands in a strange situation and a laid down trap. What happens next is a game of cat and mouse which ends up as a surprise.

Sahir (Aamir Khan) is a circus entertainer who is trained in magic and acrobatics. An injustice meted out to his father by a local bank in Chicago during his childhood turns him into a thief. Despite all attempts by the cops, Sahir remains untraceable and that's the time when Indian police officers Jai (Abhishek Bachchan) and Ali (Uday Chopra) are called in to catch him. Joining Sahir in his circus is Aaliya who is unaware of his deeds and robberies. How Jai and Ali crack down Sahir in a cat and mouse chase is what the remaining story is all about.
